Identifying opportunities:

One of the very first but key points to opportunities is identifying them when they occur. It may be a pet hate of yours (i.e. bad service or the inability to buy a product locally) that starts out as a problem but can be turned into a challenge and finally an opportunity idea for exploiting! This involves positive thinking as well as looking around to see what is going on and where the gaps are – opportunities are all around you if you open your mind… Listen to people rather than talking at them, they sometimes offer great inspirations for business ideas without even realising it!

Draw upon your experiences and what you know about, it makes the work far more fun and inspiring, so the achievements are extremely rewarding. Stuck in a negative rut and cannot think clearly? go to an art gallery, or somewhere similar (and equally quiet) to both clear and open your mind in the silence, as well as to stimulate your senses!

Start with what you know….What are your interests, where do your skills, knowledge and experience in business lie? These are the areas you should be looking further into, since you already know about these subjects and have some insight into the market.

Google Adsense- Creating a Google Adsense site is easy to do and can be done from virtually any location. Google’s programme is available to a wide number of countries and will compliment affiliate marketing, since you get paid for people clicking on your ads rather than buying the items.

Other opportunities:
Ebay is available in many countries, as well as having global customers, since when selling products you can open up your items to the global marketplace when you list them. Areas to be aware of in this market include shipping (postal costs can be higher to send abroad), however opportunities to use different shipping companies exist), also ensure you receive payment in your native currency or online via Paypal, in order to ensure you only face the minimum charges possible.

Paid Online Surveys: Online surveys are a great way to earn an additional income, and provide options for most residents of many different countries through organisations such as Ciao and many others. This is simply because most companies are expanding their knowledge base and tapping into the global market rather than just the USA.

Businesses Forum: businesses looking for lucrative business opportunities, products or services, are also able to use online forums. They gather information and opinions on topics of their relevant interest group. They provide valuable insight and information as well as the opportunity of free and efficient advertising. Anybody can post information here. The information, however, must not contain blatant advertising. Posting hints, advice, solutions, background information on topics of interest is acceptable, you can reply to the posts of others. You may add the name and URL of your website to the post to gain traffic.
