A very common and highly effective way of exhibiting how much you appreciate your client is to present him with a corporate gift. Occasional gifts that communicate the company’s gratitude to clients can help a great deal in fostering a healthy and permanent relations with them. The main consideration must be what the gift is trying to achieve – is it for showing gratitude to the client for his loyalty, or to mark the end of successful venture, or for other reasons. However, if the client has been in a long-term association with the company, then the gift needs to be of a very special nature. However, you can also present gifts like a plaque, which is universally recognized as a mark of gratitude and appreciation.

You need to make sure that you do not offer the same gift more than once. A repetitive gift can in no way have the same effect on a client. Therefore if you have already distributed calendars, next time go for pen stands or photo frames and so on. But make sure that the gift is always appealing and has some utility.

You should never ignore the quality aspect, as it can adversely affect the company’s image among the clients. However, you must also keep your expenditure in mind. Your budget must not be exceeded simply because you ended up buying an expensive gift. Such gifts might even hamper relations with the client as he might begin expecting an expensive gift every time.
